  • Take advantage of savings and learn basic obedience and manners both at home and in public! With each session customized to your individual needs, every moment with your trainer will be maximized for training geared to your lifestyle!

  • Have more than one dog that needs training? We offer savings when sessions are purchased at the same time. Speak with our trainers for details!

At Tailored Tails of Lubbock, we don’t use a specific curriculum for our training sessions. Instead, we TAILOR each training session to focus on teaching exactly the behaviors you’re needing to learn. Whether you have a brand new fur baby that is learning for the first time, or need to correct problem behaviors that have popped up in an older dog, our training is designed to target YOUR specific needs. We LOVE being able to guide YOU to a closer relationship with your dog and can’t wait to celebrate your SUCCESS!!

MEET LORI!

With a heart for rescue and a passion for canine transformation, Lori brings over a decade of hands-on experience in dog behavior, obedience training, and rehabilitation.

Her journey began in 2014 with Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pets, a military nonprofit that matches deployed service members with trusted temporary homes for their pets. This early experience laid the foundation for her deep empathy toward both dogs and their people.

In 2016, after the unexpected loss of her own beloved dog, Boomer, she turned that heartbreak into purpose. She began formally training in Dallas, teaching basic obedience for The Love Pit, a local rescue, in partnership with Butch Cappel, the founder of K9 Pro Sports.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she served as an assistant trainer with Horizon Dog Training, focusing on behavior modification and agility work. Later, after relocating to Lubbock, she dedicated over a year to working with “unadoptable” dogs for a local rescue, helping them find the trust and structure they needed to thrive.

Most recently, Lori completed a six-month mentorship with Jo Stanford — official trainer for Cesar’s Way and featured dog handler on Cesar Millan’s "Better Human, Better Dog" (National Geographic). Through this program, she deepened her knowledge in behavior consulting and advanced handling techniques, all rooted in a balanced and compassionate training philosophy.

Whether she's working with fearful rescues or strong-willed pets, Lori believes every dog has the potential to be their best self — and she can't wait to celebrate their success with YOU!
